"PATH OF STONES", John's latest solo recording, on Compass Records is now available.  Get yours at

"Though he’s considered an ace rhythm guitarist, the southpaw can definitely pick some melodies and solos. Whether it’s spirited reels and slip jigs or the dreamy 'Lady Wynde,' this is music as pure and crisp as a still, chilly pond. If you’ve never checked out traditional Irish music, or revivalists in the case of Planxty, the Chieftains, and Doyle, you don’t know what you’re missing." —Dan Forte, Vintage Guitar

New John Doyle Autumn/Winter Tour dates and info:

October/November John will be joining forces with former Solas bandmate, Mick McAuley for a run of what will be very special dates in ....Germany!  John and Mick's nearly telepathic musical connection began in the early '90's in the truly groundbreaking Irish-American band, Solas.  Now, both have flourishing high profile solo careers but periodically come together to brush off some Solas standards and lots of their individual material, played together, for these magical musical offerings.

October 28 John will make a quick trip back to Dublin to join fellow Usher's Islanders Andy Irvine, Donal Lunny, Paddy Glackin and Mike McGoldrick at the National Concert Hall for "A Celebration of the Music and Life of Liam O'Flynn".  With a host of other stellar performers, this will be one for the ages and one should count themselves lucky if you can grab tix for this.  for all the details.

If you're in the UK in November John, Mike McGoldrick and John Mccosker will be on tour together in their trio as part of "The Ballads of Child Migration: Songs for Britain's Child Migrants" tour.  In support of the recording of the same name, these few concerts will highlight the lives of the thousands of child migrants in the UK and abroad.  Details here and on the calendar page:
